FACIAL PEELING

Does your face have a lot of pimples? Don’t worry, you are not the only one who suffers. Most people suffer from many skin problems that are represented by acne or what is scientifically called acne vulgaris, blackheads, fine wrinkles, and oily skin. All of these problems can be solved with Dr. Inas Musa in Perla Dermatology Clinic in a simple way: peeling.

PEELING USAGE

Peeling has been used since ancient times, and the first people to use it were Pharaohs. All ways of peeling aims to get rid of dead cells remnants and replace the tired surface skin layer with a new layer of cells. Its results include: treating acne, obtaining smooth and soft skin, removing wrinkles and fine lines, removing pigmentation and melasma, unifying skin color and reducing oily secretions.

PEELING TYPES

There are many ways to peel: one of them is chemical peeling, in which substances are placed on the skin, often consisting of acids (such as glycolic acid, salicylic acid, retinoic acid, etc.). It is left on the skin for a specific period as it causes peeling of the skin at different levels (superficial, medium, deep) and the application requires the supervision of a dermatologist to prescribe the appropriate products. You can  get a perfect dermatological consultation with Dr. Inas Musa, an expert in this field. Another type is physical peeling using specific granules or devices (which is the best). Devices include lasers that are available at Perla Dermatology Clinic such as (fractional or carbon laser), or through hydrafacial technique that combines benefits of several techniques at the same time as it cleans the skin superficially and removes dead cells and cosmetics residues, chemical peeling, gentle mechanical peeling, nourishing, moisturizing and protecting the skin and it is also available at Perla Dermatology Clinic.

PEELING SESSIONS

Laser or hydrafacial peeling sessions are a simple, safe and secure procedure that is performed in the clinic. Usually no anesthesia required (a local anesthetic may be used). It gives quick results that appear after the session, but may take about a week to give the perfect result. The patient returns to his routine life after the session. Redness may appear, but it gradually disappears within hours or a day. Sessions can be repeated every several months, as it is a more practical solution than chemical peeling, which requires a commitment to applying creams daily and paying attention to sunlight for a long time and other things that may be stressful.

There are many recommendations that you should pay attention to after all kinds of peeling: Keep away from the sun! You should apply sunscreens with a high sun protection factor SPF. Avoid direct exposure to heat sources such as heaters and stoves. Doctor may prescribe moisturizing creams to use after the sessions. Avoid cleansers and washes that contain high concentrations of acids (except under the supervision of the doctor). Do not make a lot of effort or heavy sports after sessions.
